Not off a rack. Not a standard size. Every panel is measured, fabricated, and hung specifically for your windows and your style - by people who show up, not ship out.
The Right Fabric Changes Everything
Drapery does what no blind or shade can do alone - it adds warmth, height, softness, and life to a room. The right panels can make an 8-foot ceiling feel like 12. A layered treatment can give you privacy at night and open views by day.
Peter or Bri will sit with you, look at your room, and walk you through fabric options that work with your light, your furniture, and your taste. No upselling. Just honest advice for Colorado homes.
Frequently asked questions
How long does custom drapery take?
Custom drapery typically takes 3-5 weeks from order confirmation to installation. That time covers workroom fabrication - your panels are cut and sewn to your exact measurements, not pulled from stock. We'll give you a specific timeline when you order, and rush options may be available if your project has a deadline.
Can drapery be motorized?
Yes. Motorized track systems work especially well with ripple-fold and grommet heading styles, giving you smooth, quiet operation via remote, phone app, or smart home assistant. During your consultation we'll walk you through the available motor options and which heading styles pair best with motorization.
What's the difference between lined and unlined drapery?
Unlined panels let more light pass through, while lining can change the drape and light filtering. Blackout lining is designed to block light through the fabric, though light may still enter around the panel edges. Available fabrics, care, and light control depend on the selected product.
Do you measure and install, or is it drop-ship?
We measure and install everything ourselves. Peter or Bri comes to your home for a free in-home consultation, takes exact measurements, and brings fabric samples. Our crew installs the hardware and hangs your panels - and dresses them properly before leaving. Nothing ships to your door for you to figure out.
What heading styles do you offer for custom drapery?
We offer six heading styles: pinch pleat (classic tailored look, two- or three-finger options), grommet (contemporary with metal rings on a rod), rod pocket (relaxed and romantic, best for lighter fabrics), ripple fold (evenly spaced S-curves on a track, ideal for motorized systems), euro pleat / flat header (low-profile contemporary look), and goblet pleat (cylindrical formal pleats for high-end dining rooms and living spaces). We'll help you choose the right one for your room and rod system during the consultation.
How do I choose the right fabric weight for my room?
Fabric weight affects drape, light control, and the overall feel of a room. Sheer and lightweight fabrics (voile, organza, sheer linen) diffuse light without blocking it and work well layered under heavier panels. Mid-weight fabrics (linen, cotton, polyester blends, faux silk) are the most versatile - they filter light and work unlined or with standard lining. Heavyweight fabrics (velvet, chenille, jacquards) add richness and formality and almost always benefit from lining. Peter or Bri will walk you through options that work with your room's light, furniture, and style.
