Keep the treatments you love in the plan. We assess, carefully remove, label, and organize them before your window replacement, then check the fit and reinstall what can safely be reused.
Your windows change. Your treatments deserve a careful plan.
CS Custom Blinds helps Colorado Springs and Front Range homeowners plan around a third-party window replacement. We discuss the scope before your installer arrives, remove the existing treatments that can safely come down, then return after the new windows are ready to assess and reinstall where feasible. We do not replace or install the windows.
Your blinds, shades, and shutters do not need to have come from us. We work with different makes and brands, including treatments purchased elsewhere, and take care to preserve the products as well as possible. We first review how each treatment and its controls attach; unfamiliar, fragile, discontinued, or already damaged components may change what is safe to remove.
We aim to keep treatments and their brackets, controls, and fasteners matched to the original room and window, protected and organized in a safe on-site location agreed with you while the window installer works. We do not assume off-site storage. After replacement, new dimensions, mounting surfaces, or existing hardware condition may prevent reuse or require another solution; careful handling cannot guarantee a damage-free outcome or a perfect fit.
From the first bracket to the final fit check.
01 / Assess the existing setup
Before removal, we review the treatment type, make if known, condition, controls, mounting method, and your window install schedule. We flag fragile or unfamiliar parts and discuss what can safely be taken down.
- Check how treatments and brackets are attached
- Agree on the scope and timing with you
02 / Take down with care
Before the window crew arrives, we carefully remove the treatments in scope, including accessible controls and mounting hardware as appropriate, with the goal of preserving them for reuse.
- Handle slats, fabric, frames, and controls with care
- Set aside brackets and fasteners that may be reusable
03 / Label and organize
We plan to label treatments and hardware by their original room and window, group the matching parts, and protect and stage them in a safe on-site location agreed with you.
- Keep each window's parts together
- Confirm the on-site staging location before work begins
04 / Check fit and reinstall
Once your window installer finishes, we review the new opening, mounting surfaces, and existing parts before reinstalling treatments that can be safely reused. We explain any fit or hardware issues we find.
- New window dimensions may change the fit
- Reuse is assessed after replacement, not promised in advance
